I'm assuming you're in Word.=20
If you're trying to start page numbering at page 4, I'm
assuming you are using a section break?=20
A little more information about the structure of the
document would be helpful. Like how many section breaks do
you have?Do you have different first page footer turned on?
But here are some tips.
First, make sure "same as previous" is off in the footer.
The start over with trying to set up the page number.
Second, check the title of the footer, if you have
"Different first page" on any of them, it may be
contributing to the problem.=20
My experience has been that the Same as Previous Option
causes a lot of problems and so can the different first page
footer option.

I am trying to restart the pagination sequence after the
first four pages,=20
and start over with 1.
Whatever I do does one of the following:
1. Restarts the +next+ page as number 1 (1 page too late),
not the current=20
page, or,
2. If I back up and try to restart pages there, it starts
there! (1 page to=20
soon.)
Does anyone recognize what I am doing wrong please?
