Did you try right clicking on the file and checking the properties to make
sure it's not read only? (if you copied it to a CD or something, this could
be the case)....if it's on a CD, first move it onto your hard drive, then
remove the read only attribute, THEN import it into Outlook.

I cannot import my address book from Outlook/Office 2000 on my old computer
(Windows ME) to my new computer (Windows XP) using the same Office 2000. I
get the message "you don't have permission to save to this folder." Is this
an outlook problem or an XP problem? I have imported exported this address
book to many computers including some using outlook express. Ideas?
