Hi Norman

That is in fact what I've been doing - simply that after I run an archive
instruction the display name for each archive folder reverts to showing
"archive", not the new name/s I have allotted.

Weird eh?

Anne

I assume here that you are referring to the display name of the archive
folder as seen within Outlook itself..

To Amend the default "Archive folder" to read "Archive - MSO" or whatever
you require try the following OL2000 routine. Open the Archive file within
your current session of outlook if not already done. Right click on the
Archive folder & select properties from the options displayed. Click the
advanced button on the General Tab. You will find a Name textbox, displaying
"Archive Folder", amend as necessary. Hope it works for you.

Subject: [mso] Outlook archiving question

I'm trying to sort out my PST management, by means of creating different
archive folders for different subfolders from my Inbox.

All goes fine until after the Autoarchive has been run, when all my
carefully named archive locations suddenly rename themselves all back to
"Archive" (instead of eg "Archive MSO", or "Archive Personal")!

Am I missing something obvious? If it lets me rename the folder locations
in the first place what is likely to be causing it to rename itself back
again?
