[mso] Publisher and Selecting through Layers

Hello Everyone,
I am assuming we can post about Publisher here, too, not that I see
conversation about it? If not, I feel confident that it will be pointed out
to me :-).
I know with PowerPoint there is a tool available through Tools|Customize
that will allow me to select multiple objects (through a dialog box), which
is wicked helpful when working with layers.
Is there something like this available in Publisher, or what's the best way
to select items within multiple layers in Publisher?
