Well...except for where this info is stored...which is in your .NK2 file
(nickname) that can be found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\[user's name]\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
Although you can't edit it...at least not in the conventional means. So just
press the delete key as names you no longer care about display as offered
recipients. Eventually, the names you use most often will replace those
others. And, as I said in the post to Carolyn, you can turn these off under
Options. See that post for the exact items.

Thinking about Carolyn's second point ... 'contacts which won't delete', I
wondered if she was referring to the rather smart way that typing anything
in the To: field brings up a dropdown of all the respondents which begin
with the letters typed.
For me, this brings up a whole bunch of people I never added to my Contacts
folder (though I did mail them once). I would like to know how to get rid
of this list of people ... or maybe edit it so that it offers me names I
really do want to mail. Some of the list appears to be populated from
Contacts but it also has names I never allowed to get that far. Where is
this drop-down stored and how do I stop it from being so helpful?
