Thanks, yeah, it can be fun! HA...when I was first learning, I learned
lots of the fun stuff (and believe learning should be enjoyable...thanks
to a former boss who let me learn through "playing" around on the
computer). When I first learned how simple it was to reprogram a
friend's computer to make him nuts<smirk>...I was hooked! I added a
simple message box to his spell check F7 command. He goes to hit spell
check at work...and there's a message from me teasing him about not
being a very good speller!<evil grin>

When he came running to my desk asking how the hell I did that and how
does it fix it...I realize this stuff was not only fun, but powerful.
<smirk>

>Do you mean your e book that's on sale at mousetrax.com or do you have
another book hiding somewhere?

Yes, my eBook for AutoForms/VBA at www.mousetrax.com/books.html. I also
have online classes. Long story how I ended up with all these versions,
but it was more to help cover all the bases for all types of user's
needs. Some like structured classes, some prefer the info NOW and want
to read and learn on their own. So both formats are available, but it's
the same stuff. You just get the addition of a cool book you can keep
through my site, versus just the info in web format through the classes.
So it's $5 more for that version, plus the book is always available to
get and start learning NOW...the classes restart every 8 weeks or so, so
you have to wait for the next start.

In the course, I teach you a little about how to design a professional
looking form with tables and pass along lots of tricks and tips I've
learned in 8 yrs of creating forms and using Word. And then you learn
all the basic info about VBA to make you dangerous<smile>, as you learn
to program your form in the course, so you'll have a good understanding
to go further if you want. No single books give you this type of
info...so I had to learn over years and reading tons of separate info. I
realized one source would be a great, fast way to learn...and folks seem
to love it. In fact, I'll be putting out a second version in the not to
distant future, with more advanced stuff.

>Are Greg and yourself both VBA pros?

HA! Depends where on the learning ladder you're looking! Yes, I know a
fair amount and am fairly fluent or at least know "how" to learn what
new stuff I need to know. But compared to Greg...I don't know
squat!<smile> Funny...when I met him 5 years ago, he'd never written any
programming like that. *I* taught him back then. But he's got one of
those unbelievable "sponge" brains and never forgets anything he's ever
learned! Seriously! In his few 40 years (by the way folks...it's Greg's
40th Bday on Dec 17th!<evil smirk>) he's been an auto mechanic, an
aircraft mechanic for the Air Force, he play guitars, he builds electric
guitars (even made a tiny one for his daughter years ago...so cute!), he
build furniture, he's an electrician, a black belt programmer, a network
engineer running tons of Windows 2000 servers and last year added
private pilot to his achievements!

So, no, you can't consider me on his level...but then I think I can say
I've only met a couple other people in my life who come close to his
level. (Hee, hee...and most of them write for TechTrax!<smirk> And that
includes, Linda! Thank about it...a couple years ago, she'd never even
USED a computer! She got hold of a broken one, made it work and has
learned more than most people I know in just a few years!)

But I get by and know enough to help me make a bit of a living with it
and teach others how enjoyable and rewarding (and downright frustrating)
programming can be.

Are
Greg and yourself both VBA pros?
