Maybe I should not say freezes BUT the error appears and you can't do much but
close down and if it starts again same thing over and over, Also other Office
Apps
do the same thing! And it doesn't seem to matter what version it id The error
still appears each time it starts and will not let you use the program.

I have deleted anything I have installed in the last few months ??? but I seldom
use it unless traveling!! So it could have happened with a update of most
anything! I can run Detect and repair from the run menu but it finds nothing!
It
doesn't ask fir the disc anymore but that might be a update as Microsoft has
changed many things like that!

Maybe Try a version of 2007 ?? but I bet it will not help!!

Any Comments are welcome

Gene

Am I understanding right that word freezes when you simply open it, and
not related to a particular file? If it will let you open, you can check
out the /help/about microsoft word/disabled items to see if there are any
files showing and enable them. If it is document specific, try using open
and repair instead of just open.
However, it sounds like it's not document specific. Here are a couple of
links that may be of interest - you may have already covered some of
these, but maybe they will trigger something.

Don't know the answer, am having similar buggy problems, too, so I'm
interesting in hearing more ideas.

Thanks, Cathy
