Hi Robert,
according to Excel 2000 specifications, the number of worksheets has no set 
limit, it is limited by the available memory on your comnputer, so this will 
depend also on what's in the worksheets (amount of formulas, data and 
formatting).
The number of open workbooks is also limited by available memory.
