Good Afternoon All,
I know that this is going to be a bit of an open ended question, but
here goes.
I am planning on building a forecasting model in Excel which can
forecast say demand for train tickets (say I am a train operator).
This model will work on historical trends, but also allows me to step in
and manually adjust for known anomalies. The model will also be able to
get round the issue of say public holidays falling at different points
in the year .
The question here is could you good peeps throw at some of the
forecasting tools that Excel has and that you guys may have used in the
past, I will then do some digging around these functions for the most
appropriate tool.
You good fokes may also now of some relevant and useful websites for
this sort of thing?
I did say it was going to be a bit of an open ended question....
I use Office 2003.
Many thanks
Herbert
