[mso] Re: Email Templates and Rules

Well...as far as I know, you can do a fair amount of BASIC stuff with them,
but to do the more sophisticated work, you need to setup VBA code to control
things like subject changes and "if...then" scenarios.

Note...am important thing to do is to click on a help subject and if it
wasn't good enough, CLICK that option to say...no, it wasn't what I wanted
and then pass along further details when asked. Particularly now. Office 12
will soon be going into beta and MVPs have been whining and screaming about
problems with Help in 2003. But if MS doesn't hear it from a wider
user-base, they may not get it. So DO tell them the info they had didn't do
the job and pass that info along.

I admit, I've never looked for template details until you asked about it and
even with "rules" "templates" it didn't give me any how-to articles. Note,
however...you should also check Slipstick.com?

==============================
What are you trying to do with this template?
==============================

ORIGINALLY was trying to automatically reply to certain emails.

But the need has passed so this request is not critical.

I normally implement such things using Gammadyne Mailer, but thought I'd try
the Outlook rules thing.

I got as far as creating a rule that used a template. But all attempts to
locate help on CREATING a template (though the Help "system") failed.

SO I gave up and moved on.

But I was still curious.
