You're right, Julie, the problem has to do with low system resources. =
And
although a reboot will FORCE system files out of memory when you've been
working away for quite some time on a system or opening/closing lots of
apps/docs...you should also add a TEMP directory cleanup and an Internet
Explorer cache (pronounced cash) cleanup of stored web pages.=20

If anyone would like a cool little utility to help them regularly keep =
their
TEMP directory cleaned out of junk...Greg created just such a free =
utility.
You can download the TEMP SCRUBBER from
http://www.mousetrax.com/downloads.html.=20

For what it's worth...my ME machine with 256 MB RAM occasionally does =
this
even with much smaller documents if I'm running low on system resources
(control panel-->system-->performance tab). It's usually resolved on =
this
machine by doing a cold boot then opening only Word.

My machine/software combination seems to leak a lot of memory, =
especially
when I'm using Internet Explorer browser.

..YMMV of course.
