Yes I also believe that life is a blessing and that each day truly is good. The
older we get the more we realize it. Grin.

Actually, vicki, I think I’ve heard Don Bowman also use the phrase “Life is
Good.” And, when I dwell on it, life really is good. I’m retired, healthy,
maybe too fat, mostly relaxed, have a roof over my head, food on the table, and
I’m happy. So, yeah, life is good. So maybe its an expression that some of us
older kids say. Being the spring chicken you are, it might not suit your
vocabulary. smile. And, you still have teenagers! I have a teenager in my
family too, but she’s my granddaughter. Lots of difference. Take care my
young friend.

Vickie, is the phrase 'life is good' a Tucson phrase? Smile. My sister-in-law
says that a lot in her FB statuses. Vicki - 74

Oh. Other than the text messaging Christmas was super! I figure that if my
youngest son had nothing to say but poor me, or depressing things, I was all
the better for not hearing them. Seems like the only time he calls is to
holler at me about how he didn’t get the full raise he felt he deserved, or how
his new car has to go back to the dealership because they did this or that to
it when they supposedly fixed things for him, etc. I keep reminding him that I
have high blood pressure and if he calls yelling at me, and knowing I can’t
help him, it does nothing but raise my blood pressure even more. He called oh
about a week ago and said that even though he didn’t get his raise, he did get
a raise, but not as much as he was told he would, anyway, he would be able to
pay his bills like his car payment and rent. So, I told him rather than be
upset and grouchy that he should consider being thankful. At least he could
pay his bills and meet his needs and did get a raise of some sort anyway.
He’ll even get retroactive pay for the raise from October 1st, on January 4th.
So when i said that, he didn’t agree, but he did seem to calm down. So, I’m
probably better off not hearing from him over the phone on Christmas. Then,
Wayne, who moved to tucson recently, spent christmas eve and Christmas day with
his girl friend’s family. So, it might have been an interference if we would
have called him. He has a new job doing payroll for a trucking company in
Tucson. It’s a temporary service job, but they’ve already said in fact, his
first day there, that they wanted to hire him after the 90 day introductory
period, and since he will be there for the 60-day period they require before
offering benefits, that his benefits will kick in the day after his 90-day
temporary period is over. So he’s doing well, and we’ll see him either next
month or in February. They all know we’re saving for our air conditioner to be
fixed on the truck. Don’t need an air conditioner right now. It’s cold, with
temps only in the 50s during the day and it got to 28 degrees, last night and
probably for a few nights to come. But we’ve hardly had to run our heater so
far this year, so it’s fine with me. Take care all. Life is good and soon
this year will be over.

I agree, texting just isn't the same.
