I did my "long" (hahaha 8.5 miles) run today in the rain and it actually wasn't bad. (Though I was not up higher where Groom Creek is - I think that would have been cold.) Temps were 47-50F and I foolishly wore rainpants, so got a little warm. No big deal though, I just tied my rain jacket around my waist and then was cool enough. I had a good, and surprisingly enjoyable, run in the rain. :> .Terri -----Original Message----- From: mountainmilers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mountainmilers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of jsundogg@xxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, January 26, 2013 11:15 AM To: mntmlr@xxxxxxxxx Cc: mountainmilers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mountainmilers] Re: Sunday run day @ Groom Creek Ummm....okay. Forgive the eternal optimist for having pessimistic thoughts, but there is a good chance that the conditions will not lend themselves to a 20 miler tomorrow. :( I will still plan to be there at 9am but may only do a few miles and then meet up with a dreadmill at the YMCA later at the in the day...idk. Willing to suit up and show up and see how the morning goes. Thoughts? Anyone done a recon' mission out that way since the rain started? Your self proclaimed weather wimp, Jessica L.
