"We are not among those who shrink back and so are lost, but among those who
have faith and so are saved."  ~Hebrews 10:39

=:  M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y  :=.

There are two things that are most helpful if we are going to change our way
of life.  One is faith, the confidence in things unseen, the fundamental
goodness and purpose in the universe.  The other is obedience: that is,
living according to our faith, living each day as we believe that God wants
us to live, with gratitude, humility, honesty, purity, unselfishness and
love.  Faith and obedience, these two, will give us all the strength we need
to overcome sin and temptation and to live a new and more abundant life.

I pray that I may have the kind of faith that helps me be obedient. I pray
that I may live a more abundant life as a result of these things.

Karla asks prayers for a special intention. Karen asks prayers for her
mother who has entered into a rehab center for drug addiction. A mother
requests prayers for her daughter for good test results on a very important
test.

A member asks prayers for success of her weight loss efforts, desperately
needed to improve her health. Juanita asks prayers for a special intention.
Rosemary asks prayers that she find suitable housing. A member asks prayers
for her husband who is having a medical procedure Wednesday, that he will
finally get some relief, and also for her son who has left the church that
he will return.

Frank asks for prayers for his children that the Holy Spirit will act on
them and bring them back to God. Jack asks prayers for a special intention.
Peggy asks prayers for a close friend who is in danger of losing her job. 

We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home.  We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!

May God Bless you and those you love, and keep you safe!
