Pamela,I installed as Robert did, 1.2 over the 1.1.0.363 beta thru the help > check for update command.
I am also seemingly having problems with the OR operator command, that is the verticle bar command, to sort two or more fields on a column at once. I sent a previous message on that issue.
Is it a new bug in the program, the inability to sort on the payee/payer, amount, or item field? Or could it be a problem with the way I installed 1.2? Because if it's a problem maybe more serious problems are going to crop up.
If that is the case, should I uninstall MT, thru programs, > Money Talks, > uninstall Money Talks. After that, should I use my original 1.0disk which I purchased, then use the Help, > check for updates, menu option to bring back 1.2?
Any help would be most appreciated. I'm a bit uncertain now what to do and don't want to mess up the program.

It's not supposed to work that way. Normally, you can't have a released version over a Beta, but you can have a Beta over a release.
