Hi Paul,I've been using this beta and things seem okay. The backup just places the individual files per register, along with the .ini files for the pay/payer, categories, and items, and a folder for template files into a folder of your choice. Of course you can select a flash card or whatever media you want as the backup media. It works well for doing the back up. I've not tried to do a restore, but I suspect it would just copy back to the money talks folder what you have on the storage media, just reversing the saving process.

Hi, Rob. I am kind of interested in the backup stuff as I had requested thissome time ago. I just wanted to make sure that using the beta wouldn't mess up any of the checking account calculations, etc. But I am very interested in the backup. So, if you think it would be safe to use as a beta regarding normal checkbook use, I'd be interested. Thanks. There was a release a few weeks ago, which has everything but thebackup/restore stuff. It is version 1.2.1. Robpaulh52@xxxxxxxxxxx 10/17/07 07:12PM >>>Is that it? I am leary of using a beta for my actual checking account.
