Hi to All, My late father worked at Bristol Sidderley at Anstey near Coventry which got taken over by Rolls Royce, That division used R.R. engines for all purposes alternatively from planes,like Ships,Trains and many other installation, he was in charge of Market Research at the time, and on one of his trips i was with him going to see a British Rail with one of Rolls Royce Gas turbine engines installed in one of their trains. He served his apprentership with Napiers and as you can all remember the Deltic has the diesel engine and had tried Napiers Gas Turbine from many years ago.
