My gripe with this, is that if the stuff is stolen and you then claim on 
the insurance, is that if the items are recovered they are the property of 
the insurance company, who will doubtless sell them off.

If your handbuilt loco is stolen, and then recovered by the police, after 
you have been paid by the insurance company, you are no longer entitled to 
it!

You would have to try and track it to wherever it is being sold and 
try to buy it back with your insurance money, but with no more right to it 
than any other buyer.

I believe someone aired this in ME or EIM a few years back when they found 
themselves in this situation.
