Al,
Someone did some tests that were on the Chaski list a couple of years ago
and claimed that lagging did not help measurably on our small stuff. Why
don't you do as I did with the Newbie boiler and use narrow 1/8" thick wood
strips for insulation/lagging? Looks pretty on an upright boiler and keeps
you from burning your hand if you accidently touch it.
