For a list of Sonar shortcuts, open Sonar Help (in the Help menu). You
can type keyboard shortcuts into the index in order to find the list of
shortcuts that are available in Sonar.

Other shortcuts are added by the script package that you're using with
Sonar. JSonar is free, but CakeTalking is more polished and works with a
few areas in Sonar that JSonar does not.

In order to select Motif instruments by type, you need the instrument
definitions for the Motif. If you have those installed, you can open
track properties of the track that you'd like to set, and then press the
browse button. In the browse dialog, you can type a partial name like
"guitar" into the edit box, and all of the voices that have guitar in
their name will show up in the listbox.

Hi!
I'm testing Sonar! And I have to say, it's working really good with Jaws
so far.
Is there a reference of often used key commands? I couldn't find until
yet.
It would be nice to be able to navigate through the MIDI Channels, set
markers, move through the notes with keys, etc.

So, all of you said, I can use every sounds of the Motif XS when
recording
MIDI.
But how can I par example record different types of flutes, or the first

sound in the electric Piano Sounds (Button 2 in the categories), or this

synth sounds who are somethimes more "Noise" than musical tones? (sorry
I
don't find the right word ...)

And there is also a problem: The Channal for Drums doesn't Sound right
in
some Midis. How can I get the right Dum Set? I was successful to find
the
list of MIDI Patches with 128 instruments. But I didn't find such thing
like
Drum Set ...

Thanks for your help and kind regards
Benjamin
