I'm using the mix editor and running no other programs. When I go to chanel
1 and change something, say "transpose", I hear the chanel that was
transposed and all others.

You need to give better descriptions. I can't imagine what you're doing.

What editor are you using. There are like 6 or 7 of them.

Do you have Sonar open at the same time, or are you running any other
programs at the same time as the editors that uses MIDI?

Bryan

Bryan: when I keep local control on, seems like I'm hearing all chanels
at once, any way to fix this? John

John, the local off setting means that, when you play the keyboard of
the Motif, the messages from the keyboard won't go to the tone generator
(the part of the Motif that actually produces instrument sounds). You
shouldn't usually turn this setting off, unless you're running a program
like Sonar. When sonar is running, it will control the Motif's tone
generator directly.

Hello: I have installed the usb driver for the motif es and installed
the demo version of the mix editor from John Melas. When I turn local
dcontrol off, I'm getting no sound through the motif.
in the midi set up of the editor menu, I chose usb1 for in and out.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. John Fioravanti
