Thanks Craig & Peter S,

To clarify, I updated a Leopard (OS X 10.5) machine to Snow Leopard
(OS X 10.6) and reinstalled XCode including the SDK for older versions
of the OS (this has been reported to be useful in other contexts), before
installing BOOST and MIRA3 from source.

Could you clarify how you installed BOOST, and which expat and libz
you are using (in particular the one from BOOST or not)?

It is odd that Craig & Peter S report no problems with 3.0.0 and 3.0.x, while
for me 3.0.0 worked but not 3.0.1, 3.0.2 or 3.0.3. I'll see if I work out why...

Thanks,

Peter C
