Thanks
for checking the weather Shags and definitely would be easier with a
line-marker that’s for sure. Not sure about who owns the Youth Centre as a
venue but will ask then I call them later today. If it is an ASTC property then
I’ll get in touch with Lucy at Council to talk about the possibility of using
their equipment; if this is possible then will have to make sure the
line-marker is compatible with a two-pak paint. I’ve checked with Alice
Equipment Hire and their paint trolley isn’t. Cheers Two

[mailto:Sharon.Bliss@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Hi
Gals, I’ve
heard rumours of rain this weekend, so have checked the website and this is the
7-day forecast......so perhaps prepare for a rainy weekend. Also,
I know you’ve done HEAPS of work researching this, but what is
the town council’s role in the Youth Centre? As they have a line marking
machine – which I presume would pre-mix. I personally know the guy that
used to be the line marker at the council for years, while he’s not the line
marker anymore, he still works at the council so perhaps if the Youth Centre
ties in with the council we could ask them about using the machine? The
council is very good at supporting local sports. Was there a lady on the
mailing list that works at the council, could we ask her? Sorry, just
throwing a few questions out there. Shags (Shaz-AM!) Sharon Bliss Imparja Television Pty. Ltd.

- Check the weather From: =alex kelly =
<alex@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Hi All, I rang Alice Springs Paint Supplies this week and got
some info about outdoor concrete paint. They recommended a two-pack paint
(comes in two separate tins and is mixed before application) and these are
available as water or solvent based paints. They stock Dulux brand and
recommend: -
Durebuild – solvent based – less durable – cheaper $165/4L, also available in
15L tin -
Luxepoxy ECO2 – water based therefore slightly easier to use – more durable –
more expensive $395/10L I’m not sure why they said the water based paint was more
expensive since it’s actually cheaper compared to the price for the 4L tin of
the solvent based type so it doesn’t seem like there’s a great difference.
They did indicate that price does vary depending on the colour that’s
chosen and that the darker colours can get chalkier quicker due to heat
absorption over time. Anyway, just thought I’d start the ball rolling on getting
the track painted. Other things we’ll have to think about are cleaning the
concrete prior to application, curing time required and making sure it doesn’t
rain soon after. Cheers Lisa This e-mail
