[macvoiceover] using abbyy fine reader as an OCR tool

Is anyone using abbyy fine reader and scanning directly from it? I know it
does support some scanners however I tried a canon 200 and it doesn't see it.
Any thoughts? This looks like it would be great if it could work on it's own.
it's quite accessible with voiceover. I know people are using different
combinations but want to know what scanners abbyy supports and can't seem to
find a list. Thanks.
