[macvoiceover] Re: using Yosemite: typing feedback

Just finished the upgrade install and repairing permissions, started off with
sluggish typing feedback, but Ava seems to be catching up. Maybe she just
needed her morning coffee.

Tried switching voices, seems about the same. Right now I’m using a French
voice, seems about the same, slightly sluggish, but no more than my brain
trying to keep up with a different language. French is on my machine so I can
keep up with a fist grader in French emersion.

Switching to a few different voices, seems about the same. Each one needs a few
lines to start keeping up. Nice to be ahead of the stern British Kate for a
change, I always feel like she is scolding me.

Compact voice doesn't seem to be a lot different, still a bit of a lag, maybe a
touch quicker than the full voices.

The most sluggish aspect seems to be switching voices.

Cheers

Ian
