Hi David, I just discovered something a bit confusing. It looks as though when I start textedit an Pages, I am interracting with a scroll-area initially. I can stop interracting with it and my text still goes in to the proper place and as I have the vo cursor set to track the insertion point and or the keyboard focus, it seems to read properly. I have not tried typing multiple pages to see if this changes the behavior. I am confused as to why it starts of interracting in some applications and not in others. I need to refine my model of what is actually going on here. cheers, Joel On Nov 18, 2009, at 1:18 PM, David Poehlman wrote: > Hi Joel; > > If you are running snow leopard, there is only one thing I can think of that > might be giving you this type of problem. in vo utility, under navigation, > set mouse cursor to ignores voiceover cursor and that should fix it. > > otherly, make sure that you are not interacting and make sure that quick nav > is turned off. > > Let us know if you need more help and how it goes. > > Nice to see you here. > > On Nov 18, 2009, at 1:10 PM, Joel Zimba wrote: > > Hi all, > > I have had my mbp for two weeks now and I mostly love it. there is one huge > problem I am having. > > edit wndows. like in textedit or mail or Pages all seem to lose focus or to > wrap to the top of the window while I type. > > I ca onl think this is a VO issue or my configuration it can't possibly be > normal functionality. sometimes it seems to happen at the end of pages, > where instead of running to a new line, the insertion point goes to the top > of the page. other times the window loses focus and goes to a menu option. > > It is inconsistent.
