right, you can go to specific columns and stay there while you move through messages till you change it with vo. Also, right arrow into a message from the list and the message begins reading. It will read all the way through if you like, but the cool thing here is tha if you left arrow, you are right back in your messages. this may not work if you upgrade. It's a good way to check a message if you don't want to hear the headers.
