Hi, you can use migration assistant. Just takes a firewire cable and lets
your "old" computer reincarnate in the new one. Very powerful application
and a miraculous experience: not only are files transferred, but also
passwords to websites, settings etc. I did it the other way round, from my
macbook to my imac, and I can't imagine the process to be much different if
you do it like you are planning to do.
