Hi again Robin,

I found an interesting article on Apple discussion that talks about a guy 
having the same problem when leaving his USB receiver from his wireless 
LogiTech Clear Chat plugged in... his Mac either wouldn't boot, or would take a 
really long time.  He contacted LogiTech and was told that Apple needed to 
update their drivers for the LogicTech headset.  It's good to know that this is 
the problem and that it's not my hard drive crashing! LOL
