Hi Robin, That did the trick! Thanks so much. The repair didn't find any problems with my disk though! Any idea what might cause a 15- 20 minute boot time? It is probably a coincidence, but after I removed the USB receiver for my wireless headset my Mac booted normally and has been doing so ever since... strange, hey?
