I am now using an older Microsoft USB headset and it is more accurate than the built-in microphone. This is because the headset microphone is so close to the sound of my voice. I have selected the headset mike as my input device but have not selected the headphones as my output device. I can speak as quickly as I normally speak and it will accurately convert to text. I did initially get into trouble with the headset when I accidentally muted the volume and lost Control of my computer. I had to get sighted help to restore the settings back to my original output device which is the built in headphone output. I can scroll back into a document and insert text using dictation. tf /10/2014, at 9:32 am, Mary Otten <maryotten@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: I'm curious if you are using a built in mic or a headset with mic for your dictation and commands.
