I don't remember hearing reports of slow web being fixed this way
prior to sl.
Someone I think it is cheryl is our mini expert or perhaps keith will
write when they can.

no, there is an adaptor that I think you can get from apple for cheap
that will trick the mini into thinking it has a monitor.
