If the hard ddrive is performing fine and the RAM is upgradable they yup. My 
understanding from technical friends is that RAM is more important to 
performance than processor speed, especially if your’e not doing a lot of 
graphic gaming or other viusual stuff. So an old machine with lots of RAM is a 
good bang for the buck, providing of course that you can upgrade the RAM for 
not that much money.
