1. LogicKeyboard (www.logickeyboard.com) makes a large print Mac keyboard
in black on white for $99.00 (Part number: LKBU-LPRINTBW-M89-US). They also
have various large print “skins” (ranging from $29 to $34) that are made of
silicone in black on white and white on black that will fit the Ultra Thin
keyboards, Unibody MacBook and MacBook Pro (since 2008), MacBook Air, wireless
Apple keyboard, or wired Apple keyboard without the num pad.
2. The Apple Store has a white on black skin for the Aluminum Wired
Keyboard (zCover TypeOn Preprinted U.S. English Language Keyboard Skin for
Aluminum Apple Wired Keyboard) for $29.95. The reviews on the website pretty
consistently say that it is difficult to type on though, have to very
deliberately hit each key.
3. World Tech has the Specialist™ Apple Keyboard with large print
(http://www.worldtechdevices.com/apple-largeprint.shtml), but I couldn’t find a
price or where to buy it though.
4. IntelliKeys ($395) is a programmable keyboard that uses overlays to
change the appearance and functions of the keyboard. For Windows XP, Windows
Vista, Windows 7, or Snow Leopard a patch is needed.
5. Any USB PC keyboard will work with the Mac. The Modifier Keys option
in the Keyboard System Preferences can switch the functionality of the Windows
key to the equivalent of the option key on the Mac, and the Alt key to the
equivalent of the Command key on the Mac so that the layout falls in line with
a standard Mac keyboard. Otherwise, when you use a Windows keyboard with a
Mac, the Windows key becomes the Command key and the Alt key becomes the Option
key. Since the VoiceOver keys are Control + Option, it pays to have them in
their standard Macintosh positions.
6. ZoomCaps keyboard stickers include the Mac keys: Universal ZoomCaps –
white on black, MaxiAids item #802401, Universal ZoomCaps – black on white,
MaxiAids item#802422
