They work fine with preview in tiger.
They do not work with either preview or softcon pdf viewer in leopard.
I did read somewhere that pdf viewing was broken in 10.5.1, and that
it was fixed in 10.5.2, but I've not upgraded to 10.5.2 yet, because
of the various problems folks have had. As a result, I cannot read
my fictionwise books at the moment either, unless I reboot into
tiger to do so. <sigh>
