Hi there. Hmmm, that's too bad. I don't know anymore ideas...oh wait, which windows are you using? I've had terrible problems with sluggish speech from vista because of bad sound drivers which made me give up vista...but I had them with Window-Eyes so that's probably not it...
Did you try it with 2gb and 1processor? Sara----- Original Message ----- From: "David Truong" <bnfiles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Sara, I've tried 2gb as well but because Jaws was sluggish, I went to 4gb but no go. Mind you, wineyes had no probs both using 2 or 4gb. The version of jaws I'm using is 9. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sara Sent: Tuesday, 20 May 2008 3:44 AM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Fusuon and Jaws I'm only guessing here and totally don't know what I'm talking about, but I'd actually suggest trying 2gb ram. I heard or read somewhere that 32-bitos's can't really use 4gb anyway. Don't know if this could cause trouble butmaybe worth a try in a test virtual machine? Also, the version of jaws mightaffect it?I love and have both but sometimes it's a matter of what people bought firstand can afford etc. Sara----- Original Message ----- From: "David Truong" <bnfiles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, May 19, 2008 12:06 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Fusuon and JawsHI, Sure people are using Jaws in fusion. But there is a difference to using Jaws and actually doing something meaningful with it. I mean Jaws worksfine for me if all I want to do is wander around the screen and type a fewdocuments in notepad etc etc. But audio work and using apps that put a load on the processor is not a goer for me. Don't get me wrong, I love Jaws and would be the last to say it didn't work for me cause I'm not a fan of Wineyes usually but I can only tell as I see it smile. If Jaws works foryou then fine. Oh yes, and I am running fusion on a mac pro with 8 gb ramtwo 2.8 4 cor processors. My VM is configured to use 2 processors but have run it in a vm that has 1 processor. It is configured to use 4GB Ram. Yeah I think if Jaws was going to work that'd be enough power for it? Oh yes, I have all of my VMS in full screen.-----Original Message----------Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ray Hazan Sent: Monday, 19 May 2008 11:59 PM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Fusuon and Jaws David et al, Jaws is fine with Fusion. I discovered I needed to be in full screen, so problem solved. Ray On 19 May 2008, at 13:43, David Truong wrote: Hi, Advise what? It's a pretty broad question. Personally I wouldn't worry about Jaws under fusion. I think Window Eyes works the best in a fusion virtual machine. For me, Jaws ran very slow and when intense activity was taking place, the eloquence of Jaws stuttered and became distorted. Also, Jaws crashed a bit as well. I have had none of these problems using Wineyes. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ray Hazan Sent: Monday, 19 May 2008 8:01 PM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Fusuon and Jaws Hi, Can anyone please advise?
