Don't know, I use Siri but seldom Dictation.
I notice with Dictation that it does not appear to respond to my initial phrase
but does to the second, or perhaps third. Is this what you have noticed and are
trying to correct ?

OK, I just turned off Siri. Seems like the choppy read back is gone, but it
was intermitent anyways so we’ll see if it comes back.
The SIRI information pane in system preferences says you can use SIRI to
dictate a note, whats’ the syntax for this?

Have you also got Siri turned on, if so turn it off and see if there is a
change.

I’m currently set to enhanced, but I’ve noticed it with enhanced and
non-enhanced modes.
Do you have any thoughts as to which is more likely to have the delay?
With enhanced dictation turned off I’m getting a different beep tone at
start, and a choppy read back of my dictated text as I speak.

Hello list, I know this is something that has been referenced before, but
I can't find it in the archives. in working with dictation on Mac, there
is a delay before it beeps if you haven't used dictation for a while,
sometimes as soon as only a few minutes after you last used it. Does
anyone know what causes this Delay, and if there is a way to keep the
microphone primed as it were so that this delay doesn't happen?
Thanks,
Ian
