If you have the Notes app set to synch to your Mac through iCloud you can
check thre. You can aslo check the folder in Notes on your iPHone called All
Notes. If the notes are tehre but the folder structure disappeared the notes
will likely be in there.
A couple follow up questions on your project, are you looking for an English
translation of the Septuagint, Or one using Greek characters? In seminary I
got a waver from biblical languages because at that time we couldn’t make my
computer speak Greek or Hebrew, but that was 20 years ago and a lot has
changed since then

Hi everybody, the strangest thing happened to me. I wonder if anybody has
some thoughts on this situation.
Some of you may remember that IM of a Greek background. In the orthodox
Greek church we read the septuagint bible. I will not get into the reasons
or debates about why we read this Bible etc.
This email is not to debate religion but something strange that happened to
me.
The Ancient Greek language is very difficult to understand, unless you have
studied the ancient Greek language academically in depth the average Greek
person cannot understand the ancient Greek language.
Also voiceover cannot read the ancient Greek language properly. On the Mac
the Greek voice is broken. However on the iPhone the Greek voice still works
for reading modern Greek. As I said above I do not understand ancient Greek.
I was given a website that has the English translation of the septuagint
bible. I decided I would take on a huge project of copying all the text of
the Bible onto my iPhone. I started this project on Saturday night.
I would go to the website and click Genesis, chapter 1, I would flick right
until I heard the text of page One , As soon as voiceover would begin to
speak the text of Genesis, chapter 1, page 1, I would triple top four times
so that voiceover could copy the last spoken text.
I went into the Notes app and created a folder, and named it, the Septuagint
Bible English.
I went into that folder, and created another folder called Genesis.
I went into the folder called Genesis and created a new note, I called it
chapter 1.
I pasted the text that was in the voiceover clipboard into this new note
called chapter 1. When I was done with the whole chapter I clicked done.
I clicked the back button and went back to the folder called Genesis, and
there I saw my first note called chapter 1. I created the next note of
course called chapter 2. I went back-and-forth between Safari and the notes
app creating these notes. As I said above I started this on Saturday night.
I continued doing this all day yesterday and even this morning.
Up until about an hour ago in my notes app I had the folder called the
Septuagint Bible English, in that folder I had another folder called
Genesis, and in the folder called Genesis I had 35 notes. Of course that
means 35 chapters. As I begin to create the 36th chapter the notes app
crashed and to my horror everything has disappeared. There is no such
folders in my app, no notes, everything has disappeared as if I did not
start this project on Saturday. Does anybody have any idea what happened? Of
course my next question is there anyway to recover all this work that I did?
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you in advance for any thoughts,
ideas, and or help.
