Hi John, if you could do a little demo on that then that would be great. I can tell at some point I'll proably end up getting a Mac sometime in the future and if that happens, well I've joined the "dark side." As Star Wars says. LOL

Hi Daniel,
Not a problem. If the information is helping to sway you towards the Mac, then I am doing my job. *smile* I will work on something for version history.

Hi John, that is what I ment the version history thing.
Even just a quick overview on how it and the auto save feature works would be cool to listen to. I just want to say that I don't own a Mac so am just a lerker on this list but I am enjoying all the mac news I hear on here but I'm pritty sure I'll end up getting one sooner or later. LOL I hope to get one for my birthday or Christmas from family as they are in the month of December and if that happened then I'm sure I'll have a great deal of fun exploreing it. If ever I get a Mac in the future which will be a laptop I plan to learn it over time. By this I mean maybe spend half an hour to an hour a day on it till I feel comfortable with it and use windows in between the sessions.

Thanks

Daniel

Hi Daniel,
If you mean the version history for Text Edit, I certainly can do that for a future podcast. I would have to do some exploring myself, as I have not used it that often as of yet.

I don't think this can be turned off, or, at least, not readily. However, there are ways to work around it I could get into.

Again, I must highly recommend the Take Control of Using Lion book. The version history and auto save features are discussed in depth in the book. However, I'll put something together for a podcast.

Hi Jon, Daniel hear I would just like to suggest/request an idea for your next podcast on the Mac series on Lion.

It is about the auto save feature. I know you can't show us how it saves it automatically because it does that for you LOL but when I was listening to the keynote steeve mentioned something about the history that it saves.

I was wondering if you could demo that and also like in your Mac resume feature podcast show how one can turn it off if they prefer saving there documents themselves.

Let me know what you think of the idea.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

Daniel
