[mac4theblind] Re: external hard drive conversion

    You can use a FAT32 formatted drive with a Mac.  It is a read/write format 
supported in Mac OS X.  It just can't be used as a Time Machine destination or 
a format for a system volume.  The only point to remember is that if you save 
Mac files to it and then use the drive in Windows, you might see some of the 
typically invisible files hidden in Mac OS X, which will start with underscore 
and a period.
