this is where sharp keys is recommended as an application to set up your key 
environment. this would be best used to map the applications key and the insert 
key, though, by default the following key combination is Fn Enter together 
followed by your key combo.

here's a suggested mapping.

on a macbook pro / macbook keyboard here's what I'd configure it to in sharp 
keys.
Left Command > alt
Left Option > windows key
Left Control stays the same,
Fn stays the same
Right Command > Application Key
Right Option Key > Insert Key

These are what I use and would recommend for easy workflow.

sharp keys will help you set up key mapping by pressing the key you wish to 
edit, then select the function you wish it to be applied to. after you've done 
these keys, apply the changes and reboot either your VMWare instance or 
bootcamp.
