Hi,

under the mailbox menu, in mail, there is an export mailbox option. Under the
file menu of mail, there is an import mailboxes item. export your mailboxes,
copy them to the new mac, import them from the location which you copied them
to on the new mac. you will want to verify this in snow leopard before trying
it but those two items are present in lion.

You can also locate the mail folder with all the info related to mail on your
mac, copy it to the new mac and import using the file menu item from there.

I've done a lot of mail transfer and while imap is the best way to go if you
can manage or want to use it, some isps do not support it so you still end up
having to copy your mail to the new computer.

Hello Group,

I have a 2010 MacBook Air and I am giving it to my 19 year old nephew for hard
labor. I have ordered a new MacBook Air 11 inch and only want my e-mails from
the older Air. How is the most efficient way to accomplish this? The older
machine is running Snow Leopard. Thanks again for any help.************
