Actually It works for me. I have it set so that i hit the fn keys to modify 
stuff. mass thing easier that way I don't accidentally mute my sound or what 
not lol! but I like the tip and I encourage all people to have all fn keys used 
as normal except when fn key if they have one is pressed. then you can only by 
pressing the fn key change volume and mute sound and stuff.
