I'm actually gonna say the same thing to you, that you say to me and others. Read the documentation. It's not even a mac application. It runs under windows, so thus, ehh? Sorry, no Voiceover support. Works well with pretty much all screen readers for windows except n v d A, though,.

ah, thanks, but what is the cost of ownership?
if I can do what I need in the os, why buy and learn a new roduct and I hear it may not be all that accessible. does it work well with vo?

Use sharp keys. That is the best thing since sliced bread. you can remap keys to what ever you want. Not the caps lock key but it works.

You can also remap from with in vmware but that part is not usable by us.

Tc all.

This is kind of strange. I installed xp in a VM, and then installed jfw 12. I told jaws to use the laptop keyboard layout, and obviously to use the caps lock key as the jaws key within the laptop layout. Well, even when the vm is in full screen view, and the vm machine has grabbed control of my keyboard, OSX still seems to be, while Voiceover is enabled, taking control of my caps lock turning it on/off rather than letting jfw have it. I dont' have an insert key as I don't have anything more than the macbook keyboard. Also, unless voiceover is turned off, my right arrow key refuses to work. Up, down, and left work, but not the right arrow key. I know! Right? Totally! Bizarre, huh! When I hit capslock F11 to bring up my system tray, it took me into Dashboard. I will say I have reassigned F11 to open my dashboard, in order to avoid a key conflict with ProTools, as F12 is the key to record. Having said this, I do have it set where by default my function keys act as software keys, not hardware. Meaning, I don't have to push fn unless I want to do hardware things like volume, mute, brightness, etc.

The only way I'm getting it where jaws even sort of seeds the caps lock as the jaws key is to hit command F5 and turn voiceover off when using the vm. I suppose I can get Sharpkeys, and install it in the vm, then assign a key as being mapped to act as the insert key, then in jfw, tell it in the laptop layout to use the extended insert key as the jaws key and pull it off that way, but Gosh darnit, there has just got! to be an easier way! Surely there is something! Somewhere! I'm missing! I'm totally baffled like hell over here!

Please someone help, as I'd really like to get this up and working so I can show my company who'll be leaving in the next few days.

Chris.
