Omar after being called on his misspelling: I did
misspell 'chauvinist' - that is, I spelled it
as I would in Serbian - but as to the meaning of
the term, I believe you are mistaken.
Eric: An interesting pretension, of the "I meant
to do that" variety.
Since "chauvinism" gets its name from Nicolas
Chauvin, a character in Theodore and Hippolyte
Cogniard's play "La Cocarde tricolore,"
How could it have a Serbian spelling? Granted, you
could spell the "ism" part as the French do, but
how could you spell the 'Chauvin" part otherwise?
