Stan writes: "However, I do want to remind you of the change made in the voting schedule due to the unexpected large turn out this year. Democrats will vote on Tuesday, November 2nd. Republicans will vote on Wednesday, November 3rd." _____ Unfair! In excluding important voting information, Stan's partisan side is showing, his protests to the contrary notwithstanding. Therefore, out of civic compassion I am obliged to supply the full information to potential voters. Republicans will indeed vote on Wednesday, November 3rd. However, to have their votes properly registered, Republicans voters will need to make sure they have handy: 1. a large washcloth soaked in vinegar, 2. four (4) 25.5 cm. x 100.12 cm rolls of parchment 3. a #2 pencil 4. a box of large-size paper clips [IMPORTANT: Voting methods for Republicans result from the hypothesis that November 3 ballots do not necessarily belong to the original voting model, but rather to the convex hull of that model. If one were to use the RNC bounds to predict the generalization behavior of GOP voting methods, the fact that the convex hull is more complex than the original model can lead to predicting worse generalization behavior for voting methods. Therefore, Republicans are required to explain the good generalization behavior encountered in practice when voting methods are used, and need new theoretical tools other than straight VC bounds. These need to be listed by the voter in clear printed script on two sheets of 25.5 cm. x 100.12 cm parchment attached by paper clips (note that staples will invalidate the vote as they cannot be counted) to the BOTTOM LEFT side of the ballot. These must be mailed separately to the address listed below.] Republicans will exclusively use the parchment and vinegar ballot voting method, one of the oldest in The United States history. On a paper ballot, the name of each candidate is printed (by the voter) and a small box (cardboard only) is placed next to each name. The voter just simply rubs a vinegar-soaked cloth over the names of candidates they would not like to vote for, and then, using the number 2 pencil, checks the box next to the name of the candidate for whom they would like to vote. Using the remaining two sheets of parchment (see above), the voter presses the parchment to both sides of the ballot simultaneously to create impressions of the de-selected candidates. These are put aside to dry for approximately five minutes and then attached together with paper clips on all four corners (failure to secure on all sides may invalidate the vote so be careful on this one). Voters must then mail the parchments to: Registrar of Voters Falls Church City Hall 300 Park Ave., 1st floor, East Wing Falls Church, VA 22046 and to be counted, their mailing(s) must be postmarked no later than Thursday, November 4. It's important to make your voice heard, though any loud talking will not be permitted.
