Coincidentally, I just read in Thornton, page 94, "Moreover, part of the
Eurabian program is the assertion that the host countries have an obligation
to adapt to these multiplying immigrants rather than the other way around.
At the EAD's Hamburg Symposium in 1983, workshops recommended that host
countries make every effort to learn about, understand, celebrate, and adapt
to the culture of the immigrant, including offering instruction in their
native languages, and presenting Arabic and Muslim culture in high positive
terms."
 
Surely Italian will be easier for you than Arabic, and haven't you always
wanted to read Dante in the original?
