OK, I get it now. I looked up "sudden jihad syndrome" and it seems everyone has known about this at least since 2006. Except me. So, people pick up a gun and kill people in American cities numerous times in any 24 hour period. Mostly they are Christians. This includes robberies, rape involving a gun, drive by shootings for reason and no apparent reason that anyone can find. So what ought we to call them? Christian jihadists? Or?
Regarding the Ft. Hood massacre, the culprit repeatedly asked superiors to release him from having to treat soldiers who have killed Muslims. They did not do so. So is anyone else responsible besides the shooter? In any case, very sad and none of this is all that clear. The motivation of Thornton certainly isn't. Though there is racism in the US, there seems to be a steady stream of immigrants from Africa anyway.
I know you weren't trying to exonerate Thornton Judy. I just thought it would be good to add that he knew they had the tape showing the theft. Day in and day out people commit crimes knowing they will be on a tape. I don't get that. There must be an easier way to try to survive or get ahead or whatever they are thinking.
