Professor Paul, as usual, tells only the part of the story that favors his
modernist reactionary agenda. What Mirembe actually said, of course, is
"logical consistency is a universal obligation where logic serves a useful
purpose." And, as we all know, logic is very very very far from being
universally useful. And if Mirembe wasn't going steadily mad preparing
simultaneously for upcoming Arabic final exams and for the move from Tunis
she would have some stinging remarks to add that would make Professor Paul
wish he had kept his retrograde pro-logic barbs to himself, but they will
just have to wait.
