Oh I wasn't criticising.  And thank you for posting the links.  I simply didn't
particularly like last week's selection!

I don't know that much about country music but haven't been enthralled by what
I've heard, (I do though really like Nashville Skyline.)

The Skater's Waltz is beautiful.

Without feedback, I have no way of knowing what people like, not to mention
that everyone likes something different anyway.  I personally can't abide
country music, but I assume the music that I do like bores everyone to tears
(like waltzes, who knew there's an audience for them?).  Rock seems to go over
well (as posted by others in the past).  I try to mix it up.  In the end it's
as many misses as hits (when I'm lucky).  Thanks again for your comments Judy.
They are much appreciated.  I'll see what I can do next time.

I preferred the waltzes the week before. :)

And I like Brindisi. Here it's sung by Mr Golden Voice

Last week we learned (with apologies to, or curses at, Eric Idle) about
didactic songs.  This week's theme will be the opposite; eat drink and be
merry.  We'll start with the quintessential drinking song, the consequences of
which are sometimes the stuff of opera.  Feel free to sing along.

Now for something more reality based, and stoic to boot.

And hopefully what we eat and drink will help keep us this way.  One is
reminded of an American Bollywood.  See if you can recognize who's at 1:56.

At this point we might need a break from all this vim and vigor.  Let's take a
break with, oh no!  More vim and vigor!  And more drinking!

And finally, Verdi-following, sha na na live-for-today baby boomer meets Patti
Page for a reality check.  Nice song.
